Birth Record Comments
  • This record was found and extracted in September 2000 from the archives at Trebon.
  • The Parish and Book Number were not stated in the research report.
  • It appears that Frantisek's father's surname was Kadlec but he took on the surname Sokolik. Usually this was the result of the purchase of a farm which has been in the name of a family for many years. Possibly Farm No. 9 in Kolence was purchased by Jan Kadlec, which might have been owned for many years by Sokoliks. It is possible the original Sokolik farm owners were unrelated to the Kadlecs.
  • As with other families in the Filipek line, there are the same family names marrying each other. In this case the Paleceks and Filipeks and Sokoliks. This must have been common in small farming communities.
