This is one of a sequence of postcards where it appears that John and Mary Filipek took a trip east during the summer of 1909. John was 26 and Mary 19 that summer. While it is difficult to see all the dates, a proposed sequence is Niagara Falls, then Thousand Islands, New York, then Prescott, Ontario, then Montreal, and finally Ashland, Massachusetts where they visited Katie Jana. This postcard and the November 1908 postcard of Framingham from Katie imply that Katie was a regular resident in Massachusetts. Ashland is about 3 miles from Framingham. This postcard was discovered in Rose Filipek's home in Sarasota, Florida in the year 2002. Terry Nelson a g-granddaughter of Vaclav and Katerina Filipek has the original.
