While not easily visible, there is a lettering on the school between the upper and lower windows. The words are Hracholuskach Skola or Hracholuskach School. The lettering at the very bottom is probably the name of the publisher. Very faintly to the left of the word Dennik (Journal) is a hand printed "Filipek" that when combined with Dennik becomes Filipek's Journal. Most likely Vaclav was identifying the journal as his, just as we do today with our books. |
