Marriage Certificate Comments
  • This marriage certificate was provided by the Kildrumferton Directory, Crosserlough P.O at the same time as the Baptismal record information for Jane Wallace.
  • William Knowles and Jane Wallace were married on November 15, 1847.
  • The form used was probably recent so the data entered does not match the column headings for some data. It is thought that the father, William Knowles was a farmer, and John Wallace was a Pensioner.
  • It is interesting that William Knowles, age was a pensioner. It is thought that he served in the British Army. It is unclear how old William Knowles was. Some evidence suggests this William Knowles is one and the same as the William Knowles born in 1798, which would of course match better with him being a pensioner in 1847.
