As follows is a series of four photo taken at the Wheatfield, Indiana home of Julia Goedert. Julia was a daughter of Joseph and Rosa Gainowski. I believe she was born before 1871. Her husband's surname was Goedert; I am unaware of his given name. Wheatfield is about 20 miles south of Valparaiso, Indiana.

One of Julia's sisters was Anna Gainowski who married John Pajewski on April 29, 1893. From who was in the photos, it appears that the three of the daughters of John and Anna Pajewski: Elizabeth Jordan nee Pajewski, Rose Grotske nee Pajewski, and Ann Ulrich nee Pajewski were visiting their Aunt Julia along with their husbands and some of their children. There are a few unknowns in the photos. Perhaps one is Julia Goedert or her husband. The photos were taken with Harry Ulrich’s camera.

The photos were labeled 6-38. The day was likely a Saturday or Sunday as the men would have had those days off. But because of the coats and ties, the Jordans, Grotskes and Ulrichs might have traveled to Wheatfield after church or had stayed for the weekend.

The day appears to be a very warm day and thus I estimated as the last Sunday of June 1938, which was June 26, 1938.
