John Pajewski and his brothers came to America in the 1880s. They lived south of Danzig in West Prussia which at the time governed by Germany. The Pajewski families spoke German when they came to America and their name was pronounced as Payefskee. On American documents such as marriage, christenings, etc. they to used Pajewski for several decades.
But at some point they informally Americanized their name to Page with more and more use of that after the year 1900. They formally changed their name to Page in the Superior Court of Cook County on December 10, 1926. In these genealogy listings I chose to use the original Pajewski name followed by the Americanized name Page to link their two surnames.
