Knowles Family
William Knowles I
- Land Records: See the notes for Land Records for the Knowles. There is a possiblity that this William Knowles is the same as William Knowles II. Both were married to Jane. It would be useful to determine if the Knowles property in 1857 in Killyfassy, Ballymachugh at map location S.38-3 is the same one in Killyfassy for 1869-1870 and 1876-1881.
William Knowles II
- 1881 Census Records: It is unclear where William and Jane Wallace went after their son William Wallace Knowles went to Canada in 1871. There is some possibility they went to England and stayed in the Portsmouth area. A search should be done of the 1881 Census index. This might help determine his town and country of origin.
William Wallace Knowles
- Ship Arrival Records: to determine name of ship and arrival date in Montreal and who was with him. Approximate year was 1871-1873.
Black Family
Thomas Black
- Ship Arrival Records: It would be useful to determine when Thomas and Margaret Black or their families arrived in Canada and when.
